The Hupmobile Skylark was based of the Cord 810 and 812. The stamping dies were bought for almost one-million dollars. Powering the Skylark originally was an inline six-cylinder engine that was producing 101 horsepower. The Skylark was an effort to save the company as sales kept dwindling. There were thousands of orders for this new "Hupp," but delays did not settle well with customers. By the time the company had shut down, it is believed that less than 400 were manufactured.

This custom Hupmobile Skylark is powered by a Chevrolet 350 cubic inch V-8 engine that is connected to an automatic transmission. The car is also sporting custom paint work that is finished in blue with custom painted flames. The outside of the car also has painted wheels, wheel caps and rear fender rock guards. The new interior is finished with gray upholstery and door panels; and is equipped with a newer steering column, steering wheel and machine turned gauge fascia.
