For 1990, the 911 was only available in the new 964 body. Bodies were all built in Porsche’s then new body plant, Werk V. New in the lineup was the rear drive Carrera 2, available in Targa, Cabriolet or as this one is, Coupe bodies. This car also has the new-for-1990 “Tiptronic” transmission; the first fully-automatic transmission offered in a Porsche 911.
This Grand Prix White with Champagne leather interior Carrera 2 is stated to be in original condition and is driven by a fuel-injected 3.6-liter flat six-cylinder engine. Among the features is air conditioning, radio with CD, floor mats, cruise control, alloy wheels, driver side airbag, outside thermometer, trunk mat; power sunroof, door locks, windows, steering and four-wheel disc brakes with ABS.
Among the documentation is owner’s manual, stamped service book, leather case, original Porsche air compressor, original tools, jack and spare tire. In addition, the engine was just re-sealed at a cost of $9,000 which has also been fully documented.
