Finished in Olde English Ivory over Lobelia Blue, this “bug-eyed” Sprite is presented as a tribute to the 55 cars that were built as the very rare 100S racing-oriented models. The “S” is a reference to Sebring, where a development car had come first in class in 1954, as well as third overall. The production 100S made its competition debut in the 1955 Sebring race.

This tribute car runs with a strong 1,275-cc engine with headers and cold air box. The transmission is a late web case four-speed manual and the Sprite is further fitted with front disc brakes, 60-spoke wire wheels (also painted white), 100S-style gauges, slotted racing seats, tonneau cover with provision for rollbar, Raydyot-style outside racing mirror, Lucas dipping interior mirror, 100S positioned spare, Monza “quick-fill” gas cap, Lucas 24-hour headlamps, Lucas driving lights, unique 100S-styled grille and emblem, baffled, right-side straight pipe exhaust, factory hardtop, factory side curtains, short in height 100S-style windscreen, headrest with Bonneville “shark fin” that is removable, 100S-style louvers in hood, hood hold-downs and straps, competition lap belts and only 2,500 miles driven since the completion of this one-off tribute Sprite. A British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate accompanies this uncommon example.
