For 1954, Ford’s overall styling theme remained relatively unchanged, but the Skyliner, a two-door hardtop model with a green-tinted Plexiglas roof insert, augmented the top trim level, known as the Crestline. The effect was one of more airy, panoramic motoring with a futuristic twist. Coupled with the all-new Y-block V-8 engine, the Skyliner was a very desirable and advanced automobile.

The car being offered is powered by its original 239-cid, 130-hp Y-block V-8 engine with a Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission. The engine compartment is very clean and well detailed. The Skyliner is reported to have been repainted in Onyx Black “many years ago and still looks great.” Among the additional features on this uncommon model include the rare padded top with factory green-tinted Plexiglas roof insert, Coronado Continental kit, 12-volt electrical system, new upholstery, new carpet, dual rear-mounted antennas, spotlights and impressive bright trim components.
