This 1926 Pierce-Arrow Model 80 Roadster is most definitely not typical of Pierce-Arrow production. Instead of a staid and formal limousine or touring car, this is a jaunty and sporting Pierce. Its open roadster body with rumbleseat sits gracefully on the Model 80's 130 inch wheelbase. The power comes from an inline six-cylinder that produced 70 horsepower. Finished in beige with brown fenders, frame covers and body side accent; it rides on brown painted wire wheels with large polished center nuts and period-correct blackwall tires. The dark tan leather is offset by a new chocolate brown cloth roadster top that rounds out the color scheme beautifully. Bright aluminum running boards and step plates for access to the rumbleseat emphasize Pierce-Arrow’s adoption of aluminum for much of their coachwork.
