Throughout its time building automobiles, Cadillac’s greatest purpose has been to bring into being the finest transportation it is practical to produce. Cadillac is the car of this era that became a synonym for quality for people of all ages.

This Cadillac Series 62 has been mildly customized to show off the individualism of the spirit of the American car aficionado. In a subtle two-tone red/maroon combination, the interior has an equally subtle and complementary multi-color broadcloth-type material with maroon piping. The doors have been smoothed of their handles and are now activated by remote, certain brightwork has been made body color, the window vents have delicate etching and there is also a power antenna for the radio. The Cadillac runs with the 346-cid V-8, in this case with an Offenhauser manifold with two Rochester carbs; the transmission is automatic. A radio, clock and heater are also onboard.

Of interest is the signed Cadillac identification card on the right kick panel that indicates this car was sold new in Lorain, Ohio to a Mr. I.D. McCarthy on October 30, 1947 by Colgan Motors, Inc., also of Lorain, Ohio.
