When introduced, the 1958 Chevrolet Nomad station wagon was considered as one of the most exciting of its genre. You were assured of big new glamour, whether at work or play. “Luxury lounge” interiors helped fashion take a fabulous form and contributed a spectacular mode of travel. This particular Nomad has been completed to elevate the inborn excitement.

This stunning custom Nomad wagon has undergone an expensive frame-off restoration. Every component is new or refurbished to original condition. Beginning with a solid body, it's received a show-quality finish in gorgeous Cay Coral/Onyx Black that is highlighted with flawless chrome, stainless trim and outstanding tri-tone cloth/vinyl upholstery with matching wall to wall carpet. Comfort items added include tilt steering with custom leather wrapped billet wheel, power windows, power seats, original Wonderbar radio converted to AM/FM stereo, tinted glass and modern air conditioning controlled by the original under dash unit from 1958, demonstrating a keen sense of detail. The drivetrain consists of GM's legendary 348-cid four-barrel carb V-8 engine with dual exhaust, 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission, updated power front disc brakes, Saginaw 605 power steering conversion and rolling on Coker wide whitewall radial tires with original dog dish hubcaps. Originally equipped from the factory with Level Air rear suspension, it's now outfitted with "Air Ride Technologies" four-wheel air ride system that is controlled either by a hand-held remote device or the master control panel cleverly installed inside the glovebox door. It is reported to look, run and drive like new; the owner’s experience conveys that it’s a one-off custom that turns heads everywhere it goes.
