The result of the efforts of Malcolm Bricklin, the “Safety Vehicle-1” was designed, built and marketed as a sports car oriented with safety in mind. This example is fitted with a Ford 351-cid V-8 that is connected to a console mounted automatic transmission. All Bricklin’s have an integrated rollcage to add to the security of this mid-engine platform. A total of 2,854 automobiles were built by Bricklin before going into receivership. The Bricklin features “gullwing” doors that open and close at the touch of a button. This car features a new air door system, new four-core radiator with high flow pump, new MSD ignition and extra door struts that are also new. All manuals and over 20 years of Bricklin Magazine are included in the transaction.
