Stake and Platform models joined the Ford Commercial line for 1937, both featuring all-new bodies. The Stake Bed model was designated Type 77-805 weighing in at 2,870 pounds and priced at $560.00. Rear fenders were also now included as standard equipment. The 136-cid flathead V-8 for 1937 was extensively redesigned featuring a reworked cylinder block casting with integrated, self-lubricating water pumps; revised valve guides; altered front mountings and an upgraded ignition system. Cast iron and cast steel replaced the previous aluminum cylinder heads and pistons respectively. Horsepower of the base model V-8 was now rated at 85for all passenger cars and trucks thanks to the list of improvements. Ford completed its 25-millionth vehicle in 1937 which also marked twenty years of truck production for the manufacturer.

It is painted an attention-grabbing red with black fenders along with wide whitewall tires, and is equipped with dual rear-view mirrors, fog lights, and horn. Powered by the ubiquitous Ford flathead V-8, parts are readily available whether you are looking to maintain originality or modify it for enhanced performance. With its stake bed body, this is the perfect vehicle to both enjoy the vintage car hobby and promote your business to the public-at-large.
