“When better cars are built, Buick will build them!” Buick’s motto certainly held true for the ’62 Invicta convertible, when Buick offered the mid-model car, very well accessorized, at a very reasonable price. The example offered here includes such accessories and conveniences as power steering and brakes, power convertible top, power windows, radio with power antennae and a custom padded console between the bucket seats. The upholstery appears to be the original and remains in fine shape. The “Wildcat 445” engine is the proven 401 cubic inch Nailhead rated at 325 horsepower and is hooked to a column-shifted automatic transmission. The overall presentation of this convertible is that of a well-preserved original that has received minor updates and proper upkeep over the last 50 years and is ready to go for the next fifty.
