Tony Brawner radically redesigned this 1985 Lola T-900 HU-09 in 1992 to fit a 180-volt DC electric motor by General Electric and a $1 million dollar electronic package funded by Motorola, Arizona Public Service and Exide batteries. In 1993 the resultant Brawner Hawk EX-11 became the first electric vehicle to lap the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at an Indianapolis 500. On May 7, 2011, driver Billy Roe established an Indianapolis Motor Speedway lap for an electric vehicle of 106.897 miles per hour. Purchaser will be allowed to drive the car around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

This car is shown in a full-page color photo crossing the famed "Yard of Bricks", in the run described above, in the 100th Anniversary supplement that is sold with the 2012 Indianapolis 500 official program.
