Buick introduced the Riviera in 1963 and by 1966 Buick was on its first year of second generation production which featured an all-new design. The gorgeous fastback styling was the work of then head of GM Styling, Bill Mitchell. While the Buick Riviera retained its rear-wheel drive configuration, it shared many similarities with its GM cousin, the front-wheel drive Oldsmobile Toronado. In 1966 Buick built 45,348 examples of the Riviera.

This 1966 Buick Riviera is presented in what appears to be Burgundy Mist with a white vinyl top. The car received a professional show quality repaint in 2015; and rides on whitewall tires mounted on factory optional chrome-plated wheels. The Riviera is powered by a 425-cid, 340-hp V-8 engine which is paired to a three-speed automatic transmission. Power equipment on the car includes steering and brakes. The interior of the Riviera is completed in pearl white and features air conditioning, radio with power antenna and Strato seats with a fold-down armrest. The car has been cosmetically restored over the course of its life and is reported to drive flawlessly.
