182 bhp, 272 cu. in. OHV V-8 engine, three-speed Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission, coil-spring independent front suspension, live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 115.5 in.

While Ford boasted about their excellent build quality of the early 1950s, many believed that their styling left something to be desired when compared to the competition from General Motors. All of that would change for 1955, when stylist George Walker gave Ford’s lineup a complete redesign. That year saw the introduction of the Fairlane, with the Crown Victoria perched at the top of the line. Its pillarless hardtop body style with the famous chrome “tiara” that wrapped over the roof proved to be quite popular with the public. As a result, Ford saw record sales for that year, and the Fairlane Crown Victoria has remained desirable ever since.

This car was fully restored by a previous owner and refinished in its correct and stunning two-tone color combination of Tropical Rose and Snowshoe White, with a matching interior. If the color combination doesn’t make this car stand out enough, its Novi air conditioning will pique the interest of any Fairline aficionado, as will its radio and clock. The car currently riding on BFGoodrich tires, and its chrome wire wheel covers help to further accentuate the chrome trim on the body, as well as the paintwork. The car remains in excellent condition today and has been very well kept. With its attractive color scheme, it would garner lots of attention at local shows and perhaps even more when driving to and from.
