  • A creative blend of custom vintage features with modern upgrades

105 bhp, 235 cu. in. OHV inline six-cylinder engine with dual carburetors, three-speed manual transmission, coil-spring independent front suspension, live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 115 in.

This custom Chevy is very well crafted and combines excellent, custom vintage features with modern hardware. Aside from its gigantic 18-inch Cragar mag wheels that are wrapped in Z-rated Nitto tires, it appears mostly stock from the exterior. However, the laser-straight body panels have been finished with PPG Super Black paint, and the original stainless and chrome have been refinished to better-than-new quality.

Under the hood, a rebuilt 235-cubic inch, inline six was updated with hardened valve guides and topped with an Offenhauser intake and dual Holley carburetors, along with a custom exhaust system that includes Fenton Headers, Borla mufflers, and side-exit tips. A 12-volt electrical conversion and electronic ignition allow for easier start-ups. The chassis was further updated during the body-off restoration, when it received two-inch dropped spindles, a 12-bolt differential, and a stainless fuel tank mounted in the rear. Its manual steering and brakes have been retained, as has the three-speed manual column-shift transmission.

Other notable features on the car include soft black and white leather material for the seat covers and door panels, a stock dash, seat belts, Vintage Air climate control, and smoked custom glass. “Neat as a pin” best describes this tasteful custom Chevrolet.
