Henry Ford, without a doubt, most famous for his Model T, had a rather unusual manner in following the alphabet. Somewhat logically, the initial Model A was first to arrive in 1903. The Model B, C and F would follow in 1904, the Model E in 1905, the Model K and N in 1906, and the Model R and S in 1908. The first Model T followed later in the year. Ford however, repeated the Model A designation signifying a new beginning at Ford Motor Company with the introduction of his new car in 1928.

ARs are among the very first Model As to have been built. They do not have some of the running changes of the regular production vehicles for which production began full-scale after Christmas of 1927.

This particular car is a very early production AR Roadster that includes the left-hand emergency brake and red rubber steering wheel, and it is finished in the correct period colors of green and black two-tone and is driven by the famous 201-cid, 40-hp L-head inline four-cylinder engine that has been fully balanced and is paired with a four-speed synchromesh manual transmission. Other upgrades for ease in touring include a modern charging system, lighting system and turn signals.

The car has received a high-quality, full restoration from the ground-up and reported to have been completed using period correct materials throughout. There is full weather protection with side curtains and rods. Additionally there is a top boot, dual taillights, Moto-meter, running board step plates and windshield windwings.
