The Ferrari 308 was a replacement for the successful 246 Dino line. It sported a Pininfarina-styled body that was available in only a GTB coupe early on; in 1977, Ferrari introduced the GTS model. The ā€œSā€ signifying Spider, in this case in a targa top form. Its iconic wedge-shaped body lines were designed by Leonardo Fioravanti who famously penned the 365 GTB/4 Daytona and 246 Dino. It quickly won over many enthusiasts for both its looks and performance.

It is a pleasure to offer this stunning 1979 Ferrari 308 GTS. This is reported as a very well-sorted, three-owner, U.S.-spec, carbureted (the final year before fuel injection) 308 GTS finished in the original colors of Rosso Corsa over Nero (black) leather. Running a 3.0-liter V-8 engine with a five-speed manual gearbox; the owner has just performed a sympathetic restoration on the car which included a bare metal, glass-out repaint, new seat and door leather, new carpets throughout, full engine service including timing belt change, fluids and filters, rebuilding of the Weber carburetors, new clutch, suspension freshening, rebuilding of shocks, new bushings, four factory wheels refinished, new Pirelli P6 radial tires and amenities include air conditioning, power windows and four-wheel disc brakes.

This 308 has spent the majority of its life in St. Louis, Missouri and comes complete with all books, tools, and a large amount of service records with the recent restoration being perfectly documented with receipts, records, pictures and more. Needless to say this 1979 308 GTS runs fantastically and needs nothing and is ready for any show, concours, or spirited drive ā€“ preferably on a road that begs to be tamed by a Ferrari.
