For countless years the Model T had been the flagship automobile for the Ford Company. However, with many other automobiles advancing technologically and the Ford continuing to be outdated, a new car was needed. In 1927 America was alive, baseball had become the sport in America and Charles Lindberg flew solo from New York to Paris, France. But one event that many were anticipating was the introduction of the all-new Ford Model A. An advertisement said “The new Ford Car is a wonder.” The Model A was kept a complete secret with no details revealed before the unveiling of the car. After the Model was debuted it was made public that a budget of around $1.7 million dollars was set aside for the advertisement budget. A shock to many people, since the company had abstained from paying for Model T advertisement.

This 1930 Model A has been the recipient of a profession no-expense-spared "Rest-O-Rod" build. The reason the car was tastefully modified was because the owner could no longer drive a standard-shift. The car is fitted with a new GM V-6 engine fueled by a four-barrel carburetor. Behind the engine is a Series 350 Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. Other updates include disc brakes, updated steering, 12-volt electrical system, newer stereo, concealed speakers, provisions for a CB radio; and radial whitewall tires. The Ford features dual side-mounted spare tires, external sunvisor, radiator stoneguard, quail radiator ornament, cowllights, sideview mirror, single windshield wiper, rear trunk and trunk rack. The Model A has an all-steel Briggs body that has the correct fabric interior; and period green paintwork with Apple Green striping and matching wheels.

This very unique Model A still looks original, but has the capability to be driven anywhere; even at highway speeds.
