The designation of 993 was Porsche’s internal name for the version of the Porsche 911 model manufactured and sold between late 1993 and early 1998 (model years 1995 to 1998 in the United States), replacing the 964. Its discontinuation marked the end of air-cooled Porsches, with the 993 being not just the last air-cooled 911, but also the last of the hand-built 911s. The 993 generation of the 911 is often regarded as the best and most desirable of the 911 series, not only because of its beauty, but also because its performance.

The Carrera 4S shared the Turbo model's wide bodyshell, but housed the naturally aspirated Carrera engine in the rear. The 4S came with a 3,600-cc, 285-hp horizontally-opposed (flat) six-cylinder engine, a six-speed manual gearbox was the only type available on this model; plus it also features factory Turbo suspension, all-wheel drive, and retained the Turbo model's larger brake discs with the characteristic red four-piston calipers for its four-wheel disc system. The brake rotors are ventilated and cross-drilled for enhanced stopping performance. The Carrera S4 was road tested by Car and Driver magazine and the 0- to 60-mph time is listed as 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 168-mph.

Presented in original Glacier White with Navy Blue interior, this Carrera 4S is reported to “show like new – inside and out.” It has a clean Carfax and shows that it has had three owners and shows less than 50,000 miles on the odometer. Serviced and upgraded by Champion Porsche, lowered suspension and a Champion installed rear spoiler. Additional equipment includes factory recaro power seats, power sunroof, air conditioning, radio, original factory keys (four with remotes), tools, owner’s manual and books.

Sources indicate that from the total production run from 1966 to 1998, 6,948 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S models were built. Of these, only 1,091 came out of the factory in 1996.
