  • Single-family ownership for nearly 50 years
  • Multiple AACA award winner
  • Proceeds to benefit charity

In 1968, nearly 50 years ago, this lovely Model T was purchased by the consignor’s father. His very first collector car, it was a stretch financially to buy the car at the time, but that did not matter. With gasoline flowing through his veins, money would not stop him from having a collector car in the garage. However, this would mean that although the car was purchased, there was no money left over for a restoration.

The Model T sat for seven years before it was possible to restore it and by 1976, it was finally show-ready. The owner’s patience, hard-work, and dedication quickly came to fruition, and after attending a handful of AACA regional events, the car quickly accrued a handful of awards. Having tasted success and a spot in the winner’s circle, larger shows and events beckoned. By 1980, the Model T had won first Junior and Senior awards and was in contention for a Grand National award. A few years ago, the car received a full engine rebuild and has been driven roughly 100 miles since.

In time, the Model T would share garage space with other collector cars and while many of those cars came and went, the Model T stayed. More than a cherished possession, it was a member of the family, and a reminder of that family’s humble roots in the classic car hobby. Offered for the first time in nearly half a century, the Model T is ready to be passed onto its next caretaker and once again would be the perfect acquisition for someone looking for their first classic car.

Furthermore, proceeds from the sale of this Model T will benefit three separate charities: the AACA Museum Library & Research Center, the Tompkins Community Trust, and the Isabella Brezzi Trust, all organizations near and dear to the consignor’s heart.
