In 1979, Marco Derrick and his father, both avid car enthusiasts, were advised to inspect a pristine collection of Maseratis at an auction being held in Indiana. Marco and his dad wasted no time, each returning with a gorgeous Maserati of their own. Marco, only 26 at the time, became the second owner of this beautiful Ghibli.
The car was Marco's pride and joy. Unfortunately, his beloved Maserati had a minor fender bender when a friend took it out for a drive in 1980. He had the fender repaired, and with only 28,500 miles on the odometer, put the car away in the family's garage. Marco had plans to eventually restore the car, but the pressing needs of the family took priority. Unfortunately, he passed away last year before being able to restore his cherished Maserati. The car was recently removed from the garage where it was stored for the last 37 years and is offered for sale by the family who have cherished it since 1979.
