Chevrolet created a new subseries in 1958, and was named the Impala. Also new for this year was the, now desirable, 348 cubic inch V-8 engine. This particular Chevrolet Impala was rescued in 2001 and was subjected to a meticulous and complete restoration. The sheetmetal on the car was either replaced, repaired or re-created; again using sheetmetal. The whole suspension system was refurbished and brought back to factory standards including new brake parts and stainless steel brake lines.
