When the new Porsche 911 was released, Porsche had been thinking about its design for 17 years. Ever since the classic Porsche was introduced in 1948, many thought of it as the ultimate car for getting from here-to-there in the fastest, safest, most enjoyable manner possible, but the ensuing time proved to be a great teacher. All they learned in a generation of racing and testing went into the new-for-1966 Porsche. It proved to be faster, more nimble, more beautiful and far roomier. Even the famous Porsche ride, one of life’s great pleasures, had been improved. A new generation of Porsche had been born. It remains, after more than 50 years, one of the purest automotive designs in history.

Presented in a very unique color of Butterscotch; this Porsche 911 is a lovely representation of one of the first production years for the 911. The outside of the car is finished in stock configuration with factory Fuch wheels. The cabin of this Porsche is highlighted with leather upholstery, woodgrain dash, wooden steering wheel, VDO instrumentation and Coco floor mats. Powering this German automobile is a 2.0-liter six-cylinder engine, with 130 horsepower. Married to the engine is a floor-shift, five-speed manual gearbox.

In 1966, Porsche only manufactured 1,709 examples of the 911.
