To commemorate the turn of the century, Bentley prepared 10 distinctive cars on the Continental R platform. These featured the Mulliner wide body, elegant and elaborate wood trim elements, front fender side vents, a green starter button, a stainless steel laser-cut matrix grille and 18-inch chromed alloy wheels. Already priced at approximately $300,000 U.S., they were sold in America for $20,000 U.S. above and beyond the standard Continental R price. A trait of the model is its 6.75-liter, 420-hp turbocharged V-8 engine. The powerplant is known for its huge torque which makes the heavy car perform on par with many sports cars. The Continental R platform is reported to reach 60-mph in just 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 170-mph.
This extremely rare motorcar is number six of the 10 that were produced and is beautifully finished in Verdant Green with a beige Connolly hide leather interior with spruce-toned piping on the seats. There is a numbered tread plate marked with Millennium Edition, flared fenders and flared rocker panels, plus all of the sporting elegance and conveniences one would desire from such a respected and rare machine.
