The beautifully executed fifth generation Mercedes-Benz SL was in production between 2001 and 2008. The all-new SL was initially offered as only a 5.0-liter, 302-hp SL500 version (such as this car) that featured a flawlessly engineered power-operated retractable hardtop that was officially marketed by the German manufacturer as the “Vario Roof.“ Later, the company would release the SL55 AMG, and V-12 engines were made available in the SL600 and the limited-production SL65 AMG. All are cars of distinction and luxuriously presented.
