Produced just for 1949 and 1950, the Mark V was Jaguar’s new postwar flagship and marked an important evolutionary step leading up to the XK-powered Mark VII that debuted for 1951. With its refined styling, independent front suspension and modern hydraulic front brakes, the Mark V retained the 2.5- and 3.5-liter OHV six-cylinder engines of its predecessor, as well as the luxurious appointments Jaguar buyers had come to expect.

The gray-toned saloon on offer has a brown leather interior andit is reported that according to the associated numbers this chassis was sent from the factory with the higher displacement 3.5-liter engine. The transmission is a four-speed manual. The Jaguar has benefitted from a ground-up restoration that has resulted in sound body component fits and the ability to run and drive well. The sleek bodywork has a sloped “bustleback” and fender skirts. Among the equipment is a factory toolkit, AM/FM radio, onboard backup camera that is hidden in the dash, plus power steering has been added. This left-hand drive version has impressive wood interior trim elements, foglights, radiator mascot, twin fender-mounted mirrors and all the style one could want from this era.
