This Ford Model T is a custom that was perhaps inspired by the 1913 Peugeot L45. The two-seater speedster is powered by an inline four-cylinder engine with Rajo Model BB overhead valve with dual spark plugs, Model A crankshaft and pistons, plus a Winfield racing water pump and stainless steel exhaust. This unit is matched to a two-speed planetary transmission. The Ford has a dropped suspension, suicide front end, external floating bearing rear end, Rocky Mountain brakes, Wako radiator and Budd Ford wire racing wheels and hubs. The speedster has a 12-volt system along with an Atwater Kent distributor.
The sporty two-tone Super Wasp has a full underbelly, 1921 Ford green-eyed headlight lenses, leather interior, molted maple dashboard, dual Brooklands-style fold-down windscreens, cycle-type fenders, dash-mounted brass fire extinguisher, along with numerous brass trim components. This Ford is reported to be a former hill climb racer and was raced at Mount Washington in the roaring twenties. The car is stated to have been owned and raced by Orville Tripp from British Columbia Canada. It has been totally restored by another caring Canadian and looks good from all angles.
