The Honda CL77 was also known as the Scrambler 305. This refers to its 305-cc, 29-hp overhead cam engine that is paired with a four-speed gearbox. These have a tach redline of 9,000-rpm and differentiated sharply from the low-revving European and American bikes of the period.
It was the off-road or scrambler version of the Honda C77 Dream and the CB77 Super Hawk of the 1960s. Scramblers, designated CL by Honda, differed from the sport bikes (designated CB) to provide the opportunity for some off-road riding.
This red-framed example has silver, black and chrome features which give the machine a very nice overall look. The motorcycle is presented in original condition and appears to be well-cared-for, plus it has just over 6,700 actual miles.
