The Corniche replaced the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow convertible and coupe and was introduced in 1971, with both closed and open body styles and Bentley or Rolls-Royce badging. Its name was derived from the Grande Corniche, the famous touring road high above the Mediterranean between Nice and Monte Carlo. The Mulliner Park Ward design is as fresh today as it was when introduced in1971. This is a hand-finished, non-production motorcar that is unquestionably powerful and well-built with elegance and luxury appointments in abundance throughout. Only the finest Connolly leather was used within, and the top alone was crafted so perfectly that it fit like the roof of a coupe.

The Corniche easily fits four adults, as it is not a small car and is somewhat reminiscent of the scope of indulgence previously exhibited by the grand prewar convertible coupes and cabriolets. This particular white with blue Rolls-Royce was built in December 1973 and is equipped with the 1974 United States government-mandated five miles per hour impact bumpers which Rolls-Royce added to their models in compliance.

Having been little used since new, this is reported as a one-owner example that is presented in original condition having been lovingly pampered and stored in a climate controlled setting when not in use. The car was purchased new in February of 1974 at the then astronomical cost of $43,775. The tones it is finished in are classic and timeless and provide an elegant presence with the many luxury appointments that is demonstrated so well by the exquisite natural burlwood interior trim. Power windows, top, steering and four-wheel disc brakes, automatic transmission, air conditioning and radio with tape player are but a few of the many conveniences on this 6.75-liter V-8 powered car.

This is stated to be an extremely clean and uncommon example of an early run Corniche and one of only 1,233 produced for this model year. The exclusiveness is perhaps better illustrated in that only 3,239 Corniche convertibles were constructed by the factory during its 1971 to 1987 period of availability. The car is accompanied by its books, original window sticker, sheepskin rugs, original sales brochure, top boot, toolkit and all maintenance records from 1974 until present time.
