Though taken for granted today, the 1952 Cadillac had many standard features that were reserved for luxury marques in 1952, and the Series 62 was the most popular of Cadillac’s offerings.
This 1952 Cadillac Series 62 sedan is powered by a 331-cid, 190-hp V-8 engine with a four-speed Hydra-Matic transmission. Standard features include a self-winding clock, back-up lights, four-barrel carburetion, fender skirts; power brakes and steering. This sedan is finished in Black and has a gray-toned complementary interior. For 1952 the Cadillac wears gold-finished exterior emblems that denoted the proud accomplishment of the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Cadillac brand; “The Standard of the World.”
Additionally this Series 62 Sedan has a pushbutton AM radio, hand crack windows and other standard options of that era. Chrome full-wheel covers and wide whitewall tires nicely convey the class expected in this era of Cadillac. The chrome trim elements were refurbished to Concours quality by Finishing Touches in Chicago. The car was cosmetically restored in a frame-on manner and the exterior and interior reflect this work that was completed in 2009. The engine bay is tidy, but appears to be ready for a detailing. The current owner believes he is the third owner of this stylish luxury car. It has been shown in numerous Wisconsin shows of a local nature, and it has many Best in Class awards.
