Based on the Dodge chassis and featuring revised frontal styling for 1958, the Firesweep series anchored the DeSoto product line. Power was provided by a new 350-cid V-8 engine with wedge-shaped combustion chambers, providing a strong 280-horsepower output. Just 700 Firesweep Convertible Coupes were produce for 1958 and precious few remain today. This example is finished in a two-tone scheme that features Wedgewood Blue and Pearl White. The interior is also two-tone blue and white and the cover for the convertible top is also white. Clean, distinctive lines and tail fins are complemented by factory hubcaps and whitewall tires for a near-perfect 1950s vision of the American convertible.
