This Fleetwood 60 Special has been the recipient of an excellent restoration and is beautifully presented in Black with gray interior. The car is amply powered by its 346-cid, 150-hp V-8 engine that is coupled with a Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Strong, quiet, and reliable, these cars accounted for Cadillac’s ever-expanding reputation among luxury car buyers during the immediate post-war era.
The trim elements exhibited on both the exterior and interior are distinctive yet subtle in expressing the car’s individuality. The 1947 Cadillac 60 Special in period was the ultimate expression of luxurious personal transportation, the last domestic recipient of the true coachbuilder’s craft in the traditional sense. The Fleetwood interior exudes elegance, being more intricately trimmed and showing more lavish fitments than its Series 62 counterpart.
The 1947 Cadillac 60 Special Fleetwood Sedan is also recognized by the esteemed Classic Car Club of America as a Full Classic and as so, will be eligible for their shows and CARavans.
