The last revision of the 356 was the 356 C & SC introduced for the 1964 model year. It featured disc brakes all around, as well as an option for the most powerful pushrod engine Porsche had ever produced, the 95-hp (71 kW) "SC". Production of the 356 peaked at 14,151 cars in 1964, the year that its successor, the new 911, was introduced to the US market (it was introduced slightly earlier in Europe). The company continued to sell the 356 C in North America through 1965 as demand for the model remained quite strong in the early days of the heavier and more "civilized" 911. The last ten 356s (cabriolets) were assembled for the Dutch police force in March 1966 as 1965 models.

This 356 is a very late production, which is 23 cars from the very last Reutter Coupe built. This 356 was a tourist delivery and was used in Europe during the Spring before it was shipped to New York. Ordered new by Frederick William Kulicke from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There is amazing documentation from the original purchase including letters, purchase order, shipping paper work and Importer’s & Manufacture’s Statement of Origin to a Motor Vehicle.

Beautiful paint finished in the original color Slate Grey. The front seats have been recently upholstered in black leather with charcoal German square weave carpets. Under the rear bonnet with its twin cooling grilles is the matching 1,600cc (95hp) air-cooled horizontally-opposed four-cylinder engine! This 356 was special ordered as a SC option, 1,600-cc engine, producing 95 horsepower. The sunroof was also a special ordered form Porsche, these two options are the rarest of the push-rod 356 Coupes. The original cost for the optional sunroof was an additional $220 above the base price.

The 356 preforms perfectly and the engine was just recently rebuilt, smooth shifting four-speed (741) manual gearbox and four-wheel disc braking system. The engine compartment is impressively detailed.

Options include Chrome wheels, Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, wood steering wheel and Coco mats. Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche and extensive history going back to the original owner. It will certainly continue to captivate not only Porsche enthusiasts, but also all onlookers with its rarity and true beauty.
