In 1974 when the E- Type was due for replacement, the XJS brought a new era of luxury, performance and a new grand tourer design. After a few revisions through the ‘70s and ‘80s, and with help from TWR performance team, the XJS received its final facelift in 1992.

With the final release of this coveted Jaguar; the body shell was now built from far fewer panels than the earlier version with additional rust proofing treatment. While the front end was for the most part unchanged, it is the rear which underwent the most changes with revised quarter windows, a new rear window and all new taillights. Inside, the instrument panel was all new, losing the drum-styled engine gauges replaced by conventional dials flanking the two primary instruments. Extra veneer in the instrument cluster added a touch of luxury along with a new steering wheel and center console.

This XJS is the last year of the coupes, and is a "Celebration Edition" finished in Brooklands Green with refinished Coffee interior and headliner, with a reported mileage of less than 70,000, beautiful chromed wheels with gold painted accents and commemorative trim and wood. This lovely British standard is currently registered and titled in California. Grand Touring luxury in the best British tradition awaits.
