The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, produced from 1965 to 1980, remains the most popular, and subsequently, the best selling Rolls-Royce of all time. Responding to claims that the company wasn’t keeping up with the current technological trends of the time, the Silver Shadow became the first Rolls-Royce with a monocoque chassis. Eager to prove themselves as innovators, Rolls-Royce employed for the Silver Shadow a high-pressure hydraulic self-leveling system front and rear imbuing the car with the now famous Rolls-Royce ride quality.
This 1967 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow comes from long-term ownership of over 30 years. Finished in medium silver with an original-looking cream interior, it appears to have been well-kept. The car features right-hand drive, and a badge inside the glovebox indicates that it may have been sold new by Jack Barclay Ltd., in London, since 1927, one of the world’s oldest Rolls-Royce and Bentley dealers. As well as dual fender-mounted rearview mirrors, this stunning Silver Shadow comes complete with its books and tools.
