Beginning in 1969 Porsche 911’s would receive their first substantial changes since they were first premiered. Three models were now available in either a coupe or Targa body style, these models included the 911S, 911T and the 911E. The 911E and S were mechanically fuel injected, while the 911T would remain carbureted until 1972. By the early 1970s, the Porsche 911 had hit its stride, and its iconic shape had become instantly recognizable to a future generation of collectors.

The Porsche 911E offered here is fitted with the extremely desirable 2.2-liter, 153-hp flat six-cylinder engine. Shifting gears is the appropriate five-speed manual transmission. The coupe is finished in a stunning color combination of Viper Green with a two-tone black and tan interior. The car is believed to be extremely original with all original seats, dashboard, door pockets and door panels; all showing to be in near perfect condition. The odometer shows 62,000 miles that are believed to be original to the 911. As one would expect from such a Porsche, it comes complete with books and tools. Amazing only 1,304 911E Coupes were manufactured in 1970.

It is sure to be difficult to find another Porsche with such desirable color combinations, all encompassed in a stout, fuel injected 911E.
