The Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV was introduced in 1971, exclusively in Europe. These cars would not appear in the U.S. market until 1972. The GTV was sold in America until 1974 when regulations for bumpers and emissions were stiffened. Top speed for this model was around 120-mph.
The Alfa Romeo is an U.S. version that is powered by a 2000-cc, 130-hp inline four-cylinder engine with dual Weber carburetors . Mechanical fuel injection was designated for cars that were being imported to the United States or Canada, while European spec. models would still use carburetors. The GTV utilizes a five-speed manual transmission, and four-wheel disc brakes. The exterior is presented in red and matched with a lovely tan interior. Alfa Romeo famously said, “Why drive a car, when you can drive a legend?”
