Audio Ur-Quattro’s were manufactured from 1980 to 1991, however they were only imported to the U.S. from 1983 to 1986. This would be the first production car to use the famous Audi full-time four-wheel-drive system and turbocharger, the same system that Audi used to dominate the racetrack.

This Audi has been modified with period-correct equipment that includes: Ronal alloy wheels, bigger brakes, Koni shocks and stiffer springs, upgraded instrumentation, performance camshaft, European headlamps plus European front and rear bumpers. The car still retains the 2.1-liter inline five-cylinder engine mated to a smooth shifting five-speed manual transmission. The paint is completed in Mars Red and is sporting a black rear spoiler. The interior is shown nicely with dark brown front pleated bucket seats along with a matching rear seat, door panels and headliner.

The current owner states that the car has been in the care of a factory trained Audi mechanic since 1992. The car just received a full service, along with extensive detailing. The paint and interior are believed to be original to the car. Included with the sale of the car is the original spare tire, jack, service manual with stamped books and the original owner’s manual.

This two-owner example is one of 664 units that were imported to the U.S. with 56,000 miles that are said to be documented. With the Audi Quattro market gaining more notoriety and popularity, it’s sure to be a great running and driving addition to any collection.
