Due to increasingly stringent US safety regulations, the 911 had new, integrated aluminum and rubber bumpers that were designed to absorb the impact of a 5 mph collision. One of the most visible changes for 1974 were the new, high backed seats with integrated headrests. Turn indicators were moved into the front bumper to make way for a new front splitter to aid the aerodynamic efficiency of the car.

Its 2.7-liter flat six put out a modest 150-hp, but performance remained admirable due to its exceptional chassis and weight of only 2,400 pounds.

A four-speed manual transmission was offered for 1974 but most cars were optioned with the five-speed manual like this example. The consignor reports that its Bahama Blue paint is original and the odometer shows only 23,983 miles. This 911 has its correct 2.7-liter flat six and it is an ideal classic 911 that can be driven and enjoyed.
