In 1967 Chevrolet added a performance option known as Z28; however, it was not known to many buyers. It transformed the Camaro into a competitive road-racing vehicle. Many racing successes helped the Z28 Camaro evolve into a desirable option. But by 1969 over 20,000 examples were built.
The X-77, 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 offered here is finished in code 52 Garnet Red paint with black racing stripes. The engine is a 302-cid, 290-hp V-8 coupled to a four-speed manual shifting transmission. The odometer shows 41,375 miles which the owner believes to be original. The car has the radio delete option and the interior is code 711 standard black and is sporting a full gauge package and air conditioning. This Camaro has been restored using original or N.O.S. parts. The car comes with the original Protect-O-Plate, warranty book and a Camaro owner’s manual.
