The car presented here is said to have been owned by baseball Hall of Famer Joe DiMaggio. Included with the car is a letter of provenance signed by Joe’s two daughters, photographs of the Old Timers Day ceremony with him and his car, plus Mercedes-Benz books with Joe’s name for the ownership and warranty of the car.
This original S-class Mercedes is presented with 66,257 miles and is powered by a 4.2-liter V-8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. This sedan has factory air conditioning; power steering, brakes, windows and a sunroof, which is not operational. The exterior is finished in arctic white with a leather interior that is finished in dove gray leather and shows almost no signs of wear.
