Truly great design never grows old. Rolls-Royce introduced the Corniche Drophead Coupe in 1970 as a convertible variant of the popular Silver Shadow. It was produced for a remarkable 25 years. Each vehicle was specially ordered at Mulliner Park Ward Coachworks in London, taking over a month to handcraft to a magnificent standard. Only the finest Connolly leather was used within, and the top alone was crafted so perfectly that it fit like the roof of a coupe.

Reportedly originally sold new for $162,500, this example of the Corniche represents the epitome of 1980’s luxury. The interior of the vehicle offered is nothing short of immaculate. All the wood veneers have been expertly re-finished and look just as good as they did new. The Everflex vinyl top, mouton wool carpets, and Georgian Silver paint are all in remarkably nice condition. The books, tools, and jack set accompany the car. From new, this Corniche has always been a dry, Southern California car. This two-owner vehicle was purchased in 2001 by the current owner, with 25,700 miles and the odometer currently shows 32,972 miles. It has always been properly maintained by either Rolls-Royce dealers, or by noted marque specialty shop, Scott Motors in West Los Angeles.
