Beginning in 1951, Kaiser offered a number of exotic trim packages by the name “Dragon.” In 1953, the Dragon option became a model. They featured novel interior fabrics, vinyl tops, gold model emblems and chrome wire wheels.

This 1953 Kaiser Dragon has been correctly restored to its original 5083 Trim Code. The seats are black-on-beige Laguna fabric with black Bambu vinyl trim. Two exterior paint colors were offered with 5083; this car has the correct code 097 Stardust Ivory with black Bambu vinyl roof.

The craftsmanship is excellent, resulting in correct contours, very good paint quality and very good brightwork. The interior is excellent throughout, and detail in and out, engine room and underneath, is exemplary. The car is equipped with power steering, radio, clock, driver’s door spotlight, windshield washers and vent window air deflectors. Just 1,277 Kaiser Dragons were built in 1953. Surely this is one of the best.
