Nineteen fifty-five marked the first year of fourth generation production. It was offered in five different body styles, all of which received a V-8 powerplant. This 1955 Chrysler New Yorker Deluxe Convertible has been restored and is presented in black with maroon side stripes. Exterior features on the car include beautiful brightwork throughout the vehicle, and wide whitewall tires mounted on wire wheels. The vehicle is powered by Chrysler’s Fire Power V-8 engine which is paired to an automatic transmission. The engine is reported as a correct Hemi. Power options on the car include windows, steering and brakes. The interior of the car is completed in black. This is one of only 946 manufactured during the 1955 model year. The fourth generation was produced through 1956.
