The 1931 Buick lineup was unchanged style wise from the 1930 model year. Buick offered four different series of cars which included the 50, 60, 80, and 90. The Series 90 represented the top-of-the-line Buick, it was offered in eight different body styles. The Model 91 Four-Door Special Sedan was renowned for being long, low and beautiful. It sparkled in brilliant chromed components, was richly finished and perfectly appointed for its era. It was forwarded by Buick as being “an ultra-smart car of highest quality and surpassing style.” Body by Fisher set fine standards with interior appointments and mohair was the general fabric of choice.

This 1931 Buick Model 91 Four-Door Special Sedan has benefitted from a frame-off restoration. The car is presented in blue with black fenders and beltline, as well as a black painted roof and vinyl top. The vehicle is powered by a 344-cid, 104-hp inline eight-cylinder engine which is paired to a floor-shift three-speed manual transmission. The Buick features a 132-inch wheelbase and rides on whitewall tires mounted on attractive yellow wire wheels. Exterior features on this car include Trippe lights, dual sidemount spare tires, trunk rack with metal trunk, running board step plates, cowllights and dual sideview mirrors. The mohair-style interior of this Buick is completed in a light tan with wood accents and features a rear passenger foot rest and rear quarter window shades. This car is Classic Car Club of America (CCCA) eligible, and would be a great candidate for touring participation. In 1931 Buick produced 7,853 model 91s.
