Plymouth introduced the Satellite in 1965 as the top model in the Belvedere line. In 1966 the Satellite was redesigned and offered a new “Street Hemi” engine. The new engine featured 10.25:1 compression ratio and two four-barrel carburetors which many claim was conservatively rated at 425-hp. For 1966 only 3,629 Chrysler products were produced with the 426-cid V-8 engine. Production for the first generation Satellite ran through 1967.

This 1966 Plymouth Hemi Satellite was the beneficiary of a frame-off rotisserie restoration in 2013. It is presented in black with a black interior. The car is powered by a 426-cid 425-hp Hemi V-8 engine with two four-barrel carburetors paired to a Hurst console shift four-speed manual transmission. The rear end is a Dana 60 with 3:54 to 1 gears. The owner states this car is one of 503 with this engine and transmission combination. The car rides on redline tires mounted on steel wheels with spinner hub caps. The interior features bucket seats, console and a radio.
