The 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air made its debut in New York City on December 8, 1956. New for the 1957 model year was the 283-cid V-8 engine which produced 283-hp. This was the first GM production engine which produced one horsepower per cubic inch. Additional changes to the 1957 model year included the body being 2.5 inches longer and the car sitting roughly two inches lower than the outgoing ’56. Changes also extended to the front of the car, which received a facelift. The 1957 marked the final year of the second-generation Chevrolet Bel Air.

This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible is powered by a V-8 engine which is paired to a column-shift three-speed manual transmission. The car is presented in red with a white convertible top, and comes with a matching red top boot. The Bel Air has power steering and a power top. The interior is appointed with AM radio, clock and a tissue dispenser. The outside of the car features dual sideview mirrors, electric wipers, Continental kit, fender skirts, dual antennas and bumper guards. The car sits on BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires with spinner hubcaps. This iconic car has benefited from a beautiful restoration.
