Considered to be the reigning “queen of the Rocket fleet,” the 1952 Oldsmobile 98 Four-Door Sedan was considered to exhibit classic Oldsmobile exterior beauty for its era. It was reported as having a “long look that surpassed anything on wheels.” The Olds 98 was longer, lovelier and more luxurious than any Oldsmobile built to that time.

In 1952, the Oldsmobile 'Rocket' 303-cid V-8 engine received a power increase to 160 horsepower versus the 135-hp from the prior year. The manufacturer won three NASCAR races in 1952, including the Southern 500 at Darlington. They also saw record sales in 1952; Oldsmobile had obviously produced a very fine automobile.

The 98-Series represented the top-of-the-line Oldsmobile for 1952; this is a beautifully restored highly optioned example that is equipped with a Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, power steering, reverse lights, Super Deluxe eight-tube signal seeking radio, compass, windshield washer, heater with defrost, visor mirror, light group, new wide whitewall tires and ultra-rare self-winding steering wheel-mounted ”car watch.” The car looks very nice in its yellow with green top, distinctive body moldings, fender skirts and elegant grille design. The green interior looks very nice and is highly complementary to the striking color combination.
