The 1967 Mustang brought the first major redesign. Although it was longer and wider, the Mustang kept the same wheelbase of 108 inches. The grille opening was made larger to give the Mustang a meaner look and the rear taillight panel was now concave. One new engine was added to the line-up, the first Mustang big-block, the 390-cid. Rated at 320-hp, the 390 used a single 600-cfm Holley four-barrel carburetor with cast-iron intake and manifolds.

The GT Equipment Group included the grille-mounted foglamps, power front disc brakes, dual exhausts with chrome quad outlets, GT gas cap, F70x14 tires, handling package, rocker panel "Le Mans" stripes, and GT emblems. It is reported that 24,079 Mustangs received the GT option.

Finished in Acapulco Blue with a blue interior; this Mustang has the desirable and, it is reported, genuine S-code engine with a four-speed manual transmission. Styled steel wheels, dual mirrors, AM radio and Goodyear Polyglas tires are also part of this exciting package. The photos further reveal a very clean undercarriage and engine compartment on this outstanding Mustang GT.
