The 2003 CL55 AMG was reported by Motor Trend magazine to be a “confident head-turner, with a hint of the formidable muscle underneath the beautiful tailoring. That's the CL55 AMG.” The CL55 AMG is powered by a 5.4-liter V-8 that produces 382 horsepower and is reported to move the stylish and pillarless two-door hardtop with ease. A six-speed automatic transmission handles the shifting duties.
This example displays updated aftermarket wheels that help set off the clean, all-business styling that is even more pronounced in black; in this case having a tan interior. An AM/FM radio, air conditioning: power windows, steering and four-wheel disc brakes are included, of course. Motor Trend also forwarded this impression in their article of 12 years ago; “zero-drama motoring, until you flex the loud pedal.” So typical of the AMG Mercedes-specification vehicles.
