Finished in yellow with black interior, this 1973 Camaro is driven by a 450-hp LS6 crate engine with cast iron heads. It is fitted with aluminum D-port heads with 2.250-inch intake, and 1.880-inch exhaust valves, plus an Ultradyne cam with .625 lift, and 295-degrees of duration. Crane roller rockers were fitted along with a Jesel belt drive timing setup, and an eight-inch fluid damped harmonic balancer and a set of deep groove pulleys. The GM oil pump draws from a Hamburger eight quart oil pan. It also has a Holley fuel meter that feeds 850-cfm through a Weiland Stealth dual plane aluminum intake.
The complete package is fired by an MSD 6T unit and coil that is wired to a Mallory Unilite distributor. Additional features include a Turbo-Hydramatic 400 transmission from TCI with a 3,000-rpm stall speed converter, an Earl's cooler, and a Hurst Quarter-Stick shifter. Richman Performance Center installed a Moroso posi-traction rear end unit with 4.10:1 cogs into a Mark Williams 12-bolt housing with floaters. Alston ladder bars were also fitted to plant the power to the pavement. This custom is also equipped with Auto Meter gauges that monitor revolutions per minute, temperature, oil and voltage. The wheels are 15x7 American Racing Torque Thrust wheels, and the tires are 225-60x15 front and 255-60x15 rear BFGoodrich T/As.
